Shame loses power when it’s shared. So I decided to create an anonymous form for people to submit the things they felt most ashamed of, and I posted the results on Twitter.
The form went viral, and hundreds of strangers started offering each other messages of support. I received over 700 submissions and I decided to turn them into a book that people can keep and look at in times of struggle.
This project was successfully crowdfunded and over 200 copies were bought and delivered. The book will soon be available for sale online.
The book is a fairytale for adults, and it tells the story of a girl who meets Shame face to face and changes her relationship to it, forever changing her life.
